This medicated oil is a combination of several herbs like Masha (Vigna mungo), Eranda(Ricinus communis) ,Rasna (Alpinia galanga) etc in a nourishing base of sesame oil. Mahamasha thailam is commonly prescribed for application over the head. It is used in countering inflammation and degeneration.
