Amritamehari churnam is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal powder form used for the treatment of diabetes. It is also known as Amritadi churnam.

Benefits :
This is of proven effect in diabetes and is excellent to reduce urine sugar. Excellent to reduce weakness. Good in bladder ailments. It is also useful in pre-diabetes condition.

Ingredients :
Amrita (Tinoapora cordifolia)- 1.667 gm ? Indian Tinospora (Giloy) Meharimula (Gymnema sylvestre)- 5.000 gm. ? Madhunashini ? Gudmar ? Some consider it to as Salacia reticulata. Gudmar, is a herb popularly known for its anti- diabetic action and is mentioned in Ayurvedic treatment of diabetes, renal calculi, cough, snake poison and jaundice. Dhatri ? Amalaki (Embelica officinale)- 1.4667 gm. ? Indian Gooseberry Ratri ? turmeric (Curcuma longa)- 1.667 gm. ? Haridra (Haldi) ? Turmeric along with Amla is called Nishamlaki Churna. This combination is very useful in lowering blood sugar levels.

Dosage :
3-10 g. The dose depends upon the blood sugar levels. Initial dose is 1 teaspoon 2 times a day after food.
