Sand Processed Split Gram – மண்கட்டிய துவரை : This traditionally processed split gram is from Erode, TamilNadu (India) As Tamil people were one of the oldest agricultural community in the world they are pioneers in processing the agricultural products. One traditional method is using carcinogenic soil (புற்று மண்) for processing Grams in order to avoid pests attraction for more than a year. Today heavy pesticides were used in Grams to avoid pests but this is handled naturally in traditional way.
