It was introduced by the Hakim in Mogul period. There is no description of this compound in Arabic or Greek period. A reason to call it Khameera is that after some day of its preparation fermentation gets started. In this preparation herbal drugs are used generally in form of Joshanda (Decoction), Khesanda (Infusion) and Luab (Mucilage). In the Joshanda (Decoction), Khesanda (Infusion) or Luab (Mucilage) sugar or honey is mixed and triturated, so much air is mixed with it and becomes white.
