It is effective in treating affections of finger nails such as white spots on nails, ingrowing toe nails and deformed nails. Excessive, offensive sweat on feet, hands, and axilla with icy coldness of the parts. Tension and pain in knee with contractions in the calves. Soreness and pain on the soles. Skin: Swelling of the fingertips with infection of the nailbeds, whitlow, abscesses, boils, old fistulous ulcers, cracks at the end of the fingers, swelling of glands, rosy blotches, infections of old scars, etc. All the complaints are associated with pus formation and suppuration. It promotes expulsion of foreign bodies from the tissues, helps in the absorption of keloids and scars, and heals the fistulous tracts. Cracks in the finger tips with dryness and itching, with deformed nails and abscess of the joints. Modalities: Worse during new moon, in morning, from washing, during menses, uncovering, lying down, damp, lying on, left side and cold. Better from warmth, wrapping up the head, summer, and wet or humid weather.
