Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Chitrakasavam :AVP Chitrakasavam Description:Chitrakasavam is an Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form, used in the treatment of leucoderma. It is more commonly used in South Indian Ayurveda practice. It contains 5 – 10 % of self generated alcohol in it. This self generated alcohol and the water present in the product acts as a media to deliver water and alcohol soluble the active herbal components to the body. Chitrakasavam benefits: It is used in the Ayurvedic treatment of Shwitra – leucoderma Kushta – skin diseases and anemia Indicated in piles and dropsy, increases digestion. Chitrakasav dose: 5 – 10 ml. one or two times a day, usually advised after food. If needed, it can be mixed with equal quantity of water. It can be administered for a period of 4 – 6 weeks. Pathya:Strict pathya rules are essential.
